The step mechanic roleplay usually skips
A mechanic job normally goes: player says the car is broken, mechanic repairs the car. The diagnosis, which is the part that would make the interaction a conversation, does not exist because there is nothing to diagnose with. This device adds it, and it costs nothing.
What it does
- Scan a vehicle for stored faults through a realistic OBD interface.
- Read live data from the vehicle in real time.
- Apply hidden software modifications, choosing from 15+ pre-made mods, with your own easy to add.
- A fault logging system with 10+ faults preconfigured.
Making it yours
Faults can be added through an export, which is the important part: an external script can register a fault on a vehicle. That means your crash-damage script, your servicing script or your sabotage script can all create something the mechanic then has to find. Full localisation support lets you translate every string.
Integrations
Official integration with t1ger_mechanic, plus built-in support for the common phone systems: lb-phone, yseries phone, GKSPhone v2 and lb-tablet. So the device can live in the player's phone rather than as another item.
Compatibility
Standalone, and working on ESX, QBCore, Qbox, VRP or no framework at all. Requires kq_link, the creator's open-source bridge that connects the resource to whichever inventory, notification or dispatch system your server runs. Supported resources are listed on its GitHub page and in the download.
