Stock tyre smoke makes a drift event look like nothing is happening

This is the smallest possible upgrade with the largest visible return. GTA's default tyre smoke is thin enough that a car meet or a drift event looks flat both in game and in every clip your community posts. Thicker, properly synced smoke fixes that, and it costs nothing.

What it does

  • Works with coloured tyre smoke.
  • Works on all vehicles, vanilla and modded alike.
  • Synchronised between all clients, so everyone sees the same scene.
  • Surface-aware: smoke only appears on surfaces where it should, so you do not get tarmac smoke while offroading. That behaviour can be disabled in the config if you want it everywhere.
  • Extensively configurable.

Performance

Runs at roughly 0.01ms, rising slightly with tens of players nearby. It uses no server resources at all, since the whole effect is client-side.

One clarification

The script does not require an Nvidia RTX card. That was a joke in the showcase video and has been mistaken for a requirement often enough to be worth stating plainly.

Compatibility

Standalone with no dependencies, so it runs on ESX, QBCore, Qbox, VRP or a server with no framework at all.
